Halloween Fun...
Every year our Halloween fun starts out at the Priestley Farm with a pumpkin carving dinner. This year was no exception. On Friday we headed out to the farm with pumpkins and lots of treats to share with grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins. As the kids get older it seems they also get more and more creative with their pumpkin carving, but definitely still have their personalities in the pumpkins i.e. Shaylee's pumpkin has beautiful long eyelashes and Taite's has a horseshoe shaped nose for the Colt's football team (it really resembles the U for Utah State if you ask me). After pumpkin carving we decorated fun cupcakes with gummy body parts and lots of other pieces ~ the creativity was rolling! However, we didn't have a camera at the time so there are no photos, but I am sure you can picture what they came up with a gummy nose, eyeballs, ears....Then to everyone's treat we had the most delicious dinner in a pumpkin (compliments of Rose). YUMMY! To finish off the night Kenny lead the kids in a game of hide-and-seek. The kids love dressing in black and participating in this fun game! Halloween day we took the kids bowling to the local bowling alley, which was a fun and different activity to do for Halloween. Then we headed to the church for Trunk or Treat. Once again they each got a bucketful of candy and then they did the traditional Halloween trick-or-treat in Preston. The girls chose practical costumes that they can use every day for pajamas. They were both dressed in scrubs and Shaylee was a nurse and Olivia a doctor. Taite has had his costume for months and was so excited that we actually let him go out of the house in it. He was dressed as Bat Man. Dave and I dressed up this year for the first time since we have been married to go to a couples party. It was so much fun. He was the Big Bad Wolf and I was Little Red Riding Hood. We had so much fun! Hope you all had a great day too.
