The past few weeks we had the opportunity to attend both a piano recital for Shaylee and Olivia and a violin recital for Olivia. Shaylee has been taking piano for just over a year now and Olivia has been playing for about 4 months. Olivia played Monster Rock and Shaylee played Something Under the Bed. It was fun to go to a fall recital and hear some great music. There teacher gave the cutest "trophies" that they will treasure forever and can use as Halloween decorations someday when they have their own house to decorate. I thought that was the best idea. Olivia has been playing the violin for about 4 years now (I think??) and was invited to play in a recital being held in Preston. She played Grandfather's Clock and Wise Old Friend. She really enjoys playing fiddle songs and is also starting to play a few hymns. We are so proud of what the girls have accomplished in their music and look forward to many more recitals.
