Those of you that have little boys or teen-age boys in the house do you ever worry that they might accidentally go to school with a pocket knife or something similar in their possession?
Yesterday Dave was working at one of the schools and when he was walking down the hall he dropped his jacket. A sweet little girl picked it up and handed it back to him and he proceeded to class with his client. A little while later the principal came into the classroom and asked if she could talk to the class. She told them she had a very serious situation and needed all of their help solving the mystery. Then she told them that shotgun shells had been found in the school hall. She wanted the kids to know that whoever had done it was not in trouble, but she needed to know where they had come from.
You guessed it.....Dave was the guilty one. He had taken Olivia duck hunting over the weekend and wore the same jacket as he had at school. He didn't realize that he still had the shells in the pocket and when he dropped it they fell out. Needless to say he admitted to the principal that they were his and the mystery was solved! As I am always telling my kids, "Don't forget to check your pockets!"
