April is a month full of birthdays for us! To start things off right we celebrated Grandpa Great's 95th birthday! The amazing things he must have seen in his life time. I know I have many fond memories of spending time with him. From him taking us to the whitefish hole, out to ice cream or doughnuts, on road trips, to the survival kits and flashlights he gives each Christmas. My favorite sayings he has are, "Hello, little lover. Just what I always needed. Paw was here." Love my Grandpa Dehlin so much!
Following Grandpa Great's birthday, we celebrated Olivia's 14th birthday! She is such a beautiful young woman. I am so proud of all that she strives to do. May this year be the best yet!

Taite was next to celebrate. He shared his 9th birthday with just our family of five at the house. It is still so fun to feel his excitement on his birthday. The girls and Dave and I have lost that fire, but Taite reminds us what it is all about! Hopefully, the fire never dies for him.
Dave was next to have a small birthday celebration. After all, 41 is a BIG deal. There wasn't a huge celebration, but we love him a HUGE amount!

Easter weekend was spent with my parents celebrating Grandpa Doug's Annual Easter Egg Hunt. Easter was on Grandpa Great's birthday weekend so we combined the days and had a fun party with lots of family. The kids look forward to the egg hunt every year from the oldest down to the very youngest. It is lots of fun to watch the kids hunt, and then open their eggs and count their change, and swap one treasure for another that someone else has. Such fun memories we are building.
April was also the end of Shaylee's volleyball season with CVVC. We are not sure what next year will bring because she is able to try out for the school team and participate in more activities with the Preston teams. It has been such a growing experience for her the past two years and she has made some great friends along the way. The girls played their very best all season and did so well against teams that were mostly composed of girls at least two years older than them. Way to play hard and improve your skills!
Liv's soccer team will continue to play through May. Currently they are undefeated and hoping for a perfect season and a win in the final tournament. We will have to see what happens. Good luck!
