Happy Turkey Day

Thanksgiving:  A day of giving thanks for all you have......
This year we were able to spend Thanksgiving with my family.  As we gather of course the food is top list of favorites, but the past few years it has been the Thueson Dance-off that gets us rolling in laughter.  The cousins were quite the performers this year:  once again Hailey and Kassidee rocked it, and Shaylee and Kenzie showed us all how the chicken dance was meant to be done.  Such good times and good memories!

My list of gratitude:
1. Family and the importance of spending time with them as we are all growing older and living through different stages of our lives.
2. Service and the opportunity to serve in the church and to serve others.  It helps me realize I really don't have it too bad.
3. Teaching and the happiness it brings me as I interact with my 28 fabulous fourth graders each day.
4. Friends and the support they offer through good and bad times.  The desire to be as good a friend for them as they are to me.
5.  Health and the realization how fragile it can be.

The list could go on, but these are my top thoughts at the time. Hope you all had a Happy Turkey Day and are looking forward to enjoying the Christmas Season feelings of joy.
